胎牛血清是指胎牛血液凝固后,去除血浆中纤维蛋白原及某些凝血因子后分离出的淡黄色澄清液体,它是肉类加工业的一个副产品。
胎牛血清是细胞培养中用量较大的天然培养基,含有丰富的细胞生长必须的营养成分,具有极为重要的功能,一般添加比例为:5-20%。血清中含有各种氨基酸、维生素、无机物、脂类物质等这些维持细胞生长必须的营养物质,也含有胰岛素、氢化可的松、地塞米松、bFGF、EGF、PDGF、转铁蛋白等可促进细胞生长的激素、生长因子及结合蛋白。此外,血清还有解毒、缓冲、抑制蛋白酶活性等作用保护细胞不受伤害。
依科赛胎牛血清均采自非疫区的健康牛,经无菌采集、批量混合、3级100 nm过滤器过滤分装而成,不含支原体和BVDV、PI3、IBR、BTV等牛源病毒。
